5:30 to 7:30 AM:
Sunrise Ceremony: The pipe ceremony is at the heart of many Indigenous traditions. Come experience this privileged moment at dawn, with Elders of the Algonquin tradition T8aminik (Dominique) Rankin and Marie-Josée Tardif, co-founders of Kina8at-Together, and other pipe carriers.
9:30 to 11:30 AM :
Conference (in French): "Souvenirs nomades" - with T8aminik Rankin. Did you know that the Laurentians were once Algonquin territory? Not so long ago, this people plied the waters of our rivers and knew all about our forests. Embark on a wonderful journey into the heart of the forest and experience the richness of a culture that is still alive and well, and which continues to mark the history of our country.
1:30 to 4:00 PM:
DISCOVERY WORKSHOPS FOR ALL
Banik and Nibishabo: Come and see how we prepare the banik, i.e. traditional our traditionnal bread and bake it yourself on fire. At the same time, enjoy our cedar tea (nibishabo)!
Talking Stick: Make your own talking stick with us, and then experience the great experience of the Talking Circle, a precious tradition left to us by our ancestors.
Where: Near the old chirch, in La Conception (north of Mont-Tremblant)
